Ruth (Jensen) Ghelfi, of Bridgewater, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born on March 25, 1938 in Rodovre, Copenhagen, Denmark, she was the daughter of the late H. Stephan Jensen and Sorene (Petersen) Jensen. Ruth completed her schooling in Copenhagen, Denmark. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Pharmerica before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, furniture reupholstery, gardening, and of course, shopping. Ruth leaves her partner, Ernest Rogers previously of Everett; sister, Grete Tetzlaff Peterson; daughter Deborah (Ghelfi) Treacy and her husband Robert Treacy; daughter Diane (Resener) Ghelfi; son Stephan Ghelfi and his wife Lisa (Adduci) Ghelfi; their father Ronald R. Ghelfi; two grandsons, Erik Hammer and Brett Ghelfi; four granddaughters, Nicole Mann, Macayla Treacy, Kaitlyn Resener and Kirsten Ghelfi; and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Eli Hammer. Ruth also leaves many family members and friends here and in Denmark. She was predeceased by granddaughters Kristina Hammer and Heather Mann. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ruth Ghelfi Memorial Trust or to your favorite charity in Ruth's name. Following Cremation, A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, January 16th from 1:00PM-4:00PM. Private family funeral service will follow.
