Obituary

Ruth M. (Sturgis) Perry, age 97, of Brockton, died October 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Manor. She was the wife of the late Arthur M. Perry. Born and raised in Brockton she was the daughter of the late Theodore J. and Grace (Shepard) Sturgis. Ruth had been employed at Dorothy Lou’s Bakery for over 20 years and had been a resident of Hamilton Wade on Haverhill Street for over 25 years before entering St. Joseph Manor. She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by her children Barbara Henderson, Arthur Perry, Jr. and Douglas Perry all of Brockton; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ted Sturgis.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 3-6pm. The funeral procession will gather at the Funeral Home on Monday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
