Obituary

Ruth I. (Crawford) Taylor Ruth I. (Crawford) Taylor , 83, of Brockton, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 15, 2009 at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Oscar B. Taylor and long time companion of Bob Rollins who died in 2004. Born July 24, 1925 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Karl Crawford and Ruth (Salome) Jones. A lifelong Brockton resident she attended Brockton Schools and graduated from Brockton High School in 1943. Ruth worked many years in the City of Brockton as a Transportation Organizer for Old Colony Elderly Services. Her last job was with the Planning Council where she retired at age 79. Ruth was a great bowler and taught bowling for years and belonged to many bowling leagues. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and going to Atlantic City. Ruth had many wonderful nurses and aides who cared for her while she was at West Acres Nursing Home. Crawford, Jenny Lounge, and Judith Baker. Funeral Information A graveside service will be held in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater on Thursday, February 19th at 1:00PM. Calling hours omitted.
