Sabino C. "Sal" Minerva Sabino C. "Sal" Minerva , 94, of Pocasset, passed away Wednesday, July 07, 2010 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Helen M. (Coughlan) Minerva. Born April 20, 1916 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Nicola Minerva and Rosina (Libero) Minerva. Sal was a Barber in Randolph for over 48 years. He enjoyed Big Band Music and the Boston Red Sox. Sal was a Brockton resident for over 60 years and also a resident of Pocasset. He is survived by his wife, Helen M. (Coughlan) Minerva; his children, Donna Poliseno of Raynham, Carol Minerva of Pocasset and Nicholas Minerva of Easton; his grandchildren, Dina Zampine and her husband Peter, Sr. and Michael Poliseno; his great grandchildren, Peter Zampine, Jr., Katelyn Zampine and Michael Zampine; his sisters, Mary Tinto and her husband Guy and Antonietta Meier; his brother-in-law, Ronald Coughlan and his wife Kathleen; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Angelina Piscitelli, Italia Minerva and Lucia Doherty. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, July 12th at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 1:00-4:00PM.
