Obituary

Sadie B. (Bilida) Hickson, 87 years. Wife of the late John F. Hickson died Wednesday at the Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bourne. She was born and raised in Westford, MA, a daughter of the late John and Pearl (Eszirski) Bilida. She was a graduate of Westford Academy, moved to Brockton in 1960 and moved to Easton several years ago.Before her retirement she had been in charge of food purchasing at the VA Medical Center. She loved to golf and had been a member of the Easton Country Club with her husband and the Brockton Country Club following his death.When living in Brockton, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She is survived by three sons, John F. Hickson, Jr. of Portland, Maine, Gary Hickson and Kevin Hickson both of Sandwich, two daughters, Gail Chase of Bien of Napa, CA and Kathleen Sherman of Martha’s Vineyard,nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held Friday, March 17, 2006 at 9 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton, followed by burial at Melrose Cemetery.
