IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Samuel
Andrews, Ii
June 10, 1975 – July 25, 2023
Samuel "Sam" Sayeh Andrews II, age 48, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, July 25th, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts. Samuel endured nearly two years of battle with complications from a severe stroke before transitioning from this world.
Sam was born to Samuel Sayeh Andrews I and Felicia Gardiner Harris on Tuesday, June 10th, 1975, in Cape Palmas, Liberia. At the age of six-years-old, Samuel, his mother Felicia, and older sister Corina crossed the Atlantic Ocean to settle in Boston, Massachusetts. After attending Madison Park High School, Sam immediately delved into skilled trades, becoming a General Contractor and HVAC Technician, servicing Massachusetts and greater New England.
After eight years of courting, Sam made things official and married his loving wife, Shavon (Latifat) Andrews, in June 2018 in St Croix, USVI. They became a blended family, sharing a home in Brockton, Massachusetts. They enjoyed traveling with a deep appreciation for exploring culture, food, and yachting.
Sam, a lover of all things aquatic, was an avid deep-sea sports fishing enthusiast. Sam had a thirst for knowledge, and was a man of action, preferring to seek solutions instead of doling out issues to others. His keen inquisitive nature resulted in him learning how to build homes and restore his prized antique automobiles.
Sam was blessed with five children: Zakiayyah Sadiq, Samuel Andrews III, Shakhi G. Andrews, Sanyrah R. Andrews, and Jacari Stallings.
Sam was predeceased by his father, Samuel S. Andrews I, and sister Vera Andrews. He is survived by his mother, Felicia Harris Gardiner; his wife, Shavon L. Andrews; his siblings Corina T. Andrews, Kenny L. Harris, Victoria Andrews, and James Andrews; five children, Zakiayyah Sadiq, Samuel Andrews III, Shakhi G. Andrews, Sanyrah R. Andrews, and Jacari Stallings; two granddaughters Cali Andrews and Malaiyah Jackson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many relatives and countless friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 11th from 9:30-10:30 AM in the St. Paul's Parish, 701 Pleasant St., Brockton followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
