Samuel A. Celia Samuel A. Celia , 91, a lifelong Brockton resident, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Marian (Voci) Celia. Born August 28, 1917 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Joseph Celia and Annina (Petti) Celia. Mr. Celia was a Civilian Worker at Pearl Harbor during World War II. He then worked as a Leather Shipper for the Bardley Company in Brockton for over 30 years. He then worked for over 10 years at Brockton High School as a Custodian and Security Guard where he retired from. He was a singer in the Saint Margaret's Church Choir and sang at many local functions. He attended Boston Conservatory of Music. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Celia and his wife Mary Jane of Hanover and Raymond Celia and his wife Elaine of Florida; his nephews, Joseph Celia, Laureen Brown, Amy Lopes, Raeann Wisniewski, and Samuel Celia. He was the brother of the late Marian Celia. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Saturday, October 18th at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 5:00-7:00PM.
