Sara B. Carroll, 61, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 30th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sara was a lifelong resident of Brockton. She graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School and continued on to receive her B.A. from Bridgewater State University and her Master's Degree from UMass Amherst. Sara dedicated her life to working with children as a speech pathologist. She recently retired from the West Bridgewater Public Schools where she worked for many years. She loved her students and the many friends she made there. In her spare time, Sara loved her dogs as if they were her children. She was also an avid gardener, cook and genealogist. Sara was the daughter of the late David and Mary Carroll of Brockton. Sara is survived by her sisters, Jane Crowley, Maryann Carroll and Tricia Cruise, many nieces, a nephew, extended relatives and incredibly special friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland MA, 02370. Services will be private.
