Online Obituaries Sarah A. Pappas, 99, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Bradenton, Florida. She was the wife of the late Nicholas H. Pappas, Sr. Born February 12, 1918 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. Vose and Anastasia Helen Vose. She was raised and married in Brockton before moving to Burlington, VT with her husband. They retired in Hyannis, Cape Cod. They split time between Hyannis and Bradenton, FL. She later moved to Bradenton year round. They were members of St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Sarasota, FL. Sarah and Nick were both restaurant owners throughout their careers. She was the first female president of the parish council at the Dormition of the Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church in Burlington, VT. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, travelling, gardening and even modeling when she was younger. She is survived by her children; Nicholas H. Pappas, Jr., Arthur Pappas and his wife Mary, Diane Pappas and Nancy Cookie Trombley and her late husband Dean; grandchildren, Nicholas H. Pappas III, late Christopher Pappas, Allison Mangini, Andrew Pappas and Sara Holt; great grandchildren, Nichole Pappas, Matthew Mangini, Roman Pappas and Aviana Holt; siblings, Helen, Jim and John and the late George, Mary, Lewis, Chris, Jane and Phillis. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31st in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. The Rev. Anthony Evangelatos will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours prior to the service in the church from 9:30 to 11:00AM.
