Online Obituaries Sean P. Doyle, 51, of Brockton, MA, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home. Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved son of Elaine M. (Powers) Doyle and the late James J. Doyle of Smithfield, RI. Sean was a 1980 graduate of Smithfield High School and a 1996 graduate of Bridgewater State College. Sean was employed by Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Electrical Engineer for the last 15 years. Prior to that he was employed by the Foxboro Company. Sean enjoyed reading, jamming on the keyboard and saxophone. He obtained a US Patent for an electronic visual display system and was working on his second patent with his Dad until his father passed away in 2010. His whole life was spent inventing and building various items. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his family and friends. Besides his mother, he leaves his sister, Sheila C. (Doyle) Butera, her husband David, his niece, Brittany and nephew, Bryan of Barrington, RI. Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:30AM in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
