Sharon Marie "Peach" (Dellabella) Mills
Sharon ("Peach") Mills (57) of 116 Mass Ave, Brockton passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007 at Boston Medical Center with her daughter Kerrie at her side, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sharon attended the Mater Dei Academy (H.S.), where her intellect and spirit were obvious. Throughout her academic career she was well known for earning straight-As in everything but conduct.
Until recently, Sharon had been the owner of Zam-Tek, Inc. a demolition contractor, and trucking business in Chelsea, MA, where she employed many teamsters, operating engineers and laborers.
Before that, Sharon had been a bookkeeper for JT's Steakhouse in Sudbury, MA.
Sharon was a woman whose generosity toward all was truly boundless.
Her favorite moments were spent in the kitchens and living rooms of friends and family, sharing food and friendship.
With her daughter Kerrie, Sharon had been a member of the Skating Club of Boston, where she made lifelong friendships with skaters, parents and coaches.
Widowed very young, Sharon was a thoroughly devoted mother; and became one of her grandchildren's favorite co-conspirators.
Sharon was the wife of the late William Richard Mills of Brockton, and the daughter of the late Charles Dellabella.
Sharon is survived by her mother, Shirley (Patterson) Dellabella of Brockton; her daughter and son-in-law Kerrie Mills-Farley and Michael Farley, her grandchildren William Richard Farley and Chase Joseph Farley, all of Newport, as well as many loving friends and family in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Florida and beyond.
Funeral Information
Following Cremation, a memorial visitation will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, May 4th from 4:00-7:30PM followed by a funeral prayer service at 7:30PM. A memorial mass will be held in St. Joseph Church, (corner of Mann Ave/Broadway) Newport, Rhode Island on Saturday, May 5th at 10:00AM. Interment will be held at a later date.
