Sharon Ruth (Payne) McAllister, 75, of Raynham, Massachusetts, formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, February 20, 2022, surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was born to the late Arthur and Velma Payne, April 18, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts. Sharon was raised in Holbrook and graduated from Holbrook High School. She married Wayne E. McAllister in January 1975, who preceded her in death in 2016. Sharon retired from John Hancock after thirty-five years and worked for Brockton Public Schools. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness. Sharon was a supportive, loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She loved her role as nana. Those who knew her describe her as "kind and generous." She was happiest surrounded by family, friends, home-cooked food, and her favorite music being played in the background. Sharon is survived by her children, Mark Payne, Kristin Payne, Sara Keough and her husband Tom Keough, and Amanda McAllister; grandchildren, Brandon Fields, Chelsea and Ashton Pierrot, Madison Keough, Aidan and Jaxson Contreras; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Riley, and Frankie Fields; sisters Deborah (Payne)Williams of Brockton, and the late Lesley (Payne) Conway of Hershey, Pennsylvania; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Please join us in celebrating her life Sunday, February 27, 2022, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Russell-Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA. Repast to follow at Tutto Bene, Pearl Street, Brockton, MA at 6 p.m. Interment Monday, February 28, 2022, at 1:45 p.m. National Cemetery in Bourne.
