Sharon C. (Fearn) Whelan, 71, of Raynham, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Astoria, New York on October 16, 1949, Sharon was the daughter of the late George Fearn and Claire (Ruppel) Fearn. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York in the class of 1967 as well as from St. Gregory's University in Oklahoma in 1969. Sharon was a financial broker as well as an advocate St. Jude's Hospital and former president of the Visiting Nurses Association in Hanover. She loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and playing cards. She also loved boating. Sharon is survived by her son, William Whelan and his spouse Jill; her daughter, Megan Whelan and her spouse Stephen Burns; her granddaughters, Elise and Avery Whelan; her sister, Maryanne Fearn; her brother-in-law, Daniel Brown; and her nieces, Melissa and Kelsey Brown. She was also the sister of the late Kevin Fearn, Dennis Fearn and Susan Fearn Brown. Services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association.
