Shawn Horstman's love of life will not end with his passing. Shawn, age 50, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 where he passed peacefully with his wife Kristi by his side. Shawn was the loving son of the late James (Jim) Horstman and Beverly Horstman (Tasker) of Venice, FL. Shawn was a graduate of Salem High School, in Salem Ohio, and in his youth was an avid swimmer. Shawn attended The Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeyes fan. In his adulthood, Shawn enjoyed snowboarding in Killington, VT, summers in Newport, Nantucket, and Cape Cod. Shawn was known for his charismatic personality and wore a smile everywhere he went. His laughter was catching, and his kindness was never in short supply. Shawn lived his life with abandon and will be remembered for his carefree attitude and love of fun. Shawn is survived by Kristi Horstman (Wife); Beverly Horstman (Mother); Heather Antolak (Sister); Kate Antolak (Niece); Talon Antolak (Nephew); Sheri Coleman (Mother-in-law); Erik Coleman (Brother-in-law); Jodi Coleman (Sister-in-law); Kendyl Coleman (Niece). He is also survived by many friends that were truly his family. Due to COVID restrictions, and safety for all, there will sadly be no service.
