IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheila A. (Mccarthy)
Harris
February 7, 1947 – November 12, 2025
Sheila Ann (McCarthy) Harris, 78, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Hopehealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Rhode Island. She was the beloved wife of Clifford E. Harris.
Born February 7, 1947, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph McCarthy and Frances (Casey) McCarthy. Raised in Marshfield, she graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Kingston, Ma.
Sheila was an administrative assistant for Bay State Gas Company and Massasoit Community College.
Sheila enjoyed her time at the Brockton YMCA where she would often exercise with her husband and many times get her walking and socializing in. She could often be found at her and Cliff's favorite local dining establishments like; Alexander's – for breakfast or George's, Sticks and Stones and, of course, Sidelines/Doyles on Cary St. Walking into any of those establishments with Sheila and Cliff was like being thrust into a new family environment or an episode of Cheers.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford E. Harris (retired Brockton Police); her sons, Donald J. Harris and Joseph F. Harris; her step daughters, Diane Massaroni and her husband Alfred and Elaine Donovan and her husband Stephen; her 8 grandchildren, Steven Massaroni and his wife Roseanna, Lisa Massaroni, Nicolette Harris and her fiancé Steven Murphy, Cameron Harris and his fiancé Mimi Freedman and Brett Harris, Connor Harris and Keilan Harris; her 3 great grandchildren.
Sheila, and her twin brother Dennis were the 5th and 6th of 7 of the McCarthy children raised in Green Harbor, Ma. Typical classic Irish family Mary, James, Joseph, Susan, Sheila, Dennis and Elizabeth.
