Sheila entered into eternal rest on Thursday June 21, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on Nov. 24, 1940 to the late George and Grace (Reardon) Twomey. As a young child she was raised by the late Leo and Helen Cleary. Sheila attended St. Patrick's School until the tenth grade and graduated from Brockton High School. She worked at Brockton Hospital as a Nurses Aid until attending Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1990. Following graduation she continued working at Brockton Hospital as a Registered Nurse and also worked at Pediatrics Services of America caring for disabled children. Sheila retired from Brockton Hospital and PSA after 30 years of patient dedication. She enjoyed going to bingo, reading books and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Sheila leaves her children to cherish her memories; daughter Grace E. Coward and husband David, son Joseph Fernandes, daughter Therese Tavares and husband Euclides, son Leo E Miller, son Charles E Miller and wife Debra, 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Sheila also leaves siblings to cherish her memories; brother John Twomey and wife Lynn, brother James Twomey and wife Kathy, brother in-law George Powers III, sister in-law Nancy Twomey and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Mary, Patricia, George (Gig) Twomey and Janet (Twomey) Powers. "Sleep on Nana Sheila and get your rest for We all loved you dearly but God loves you best."
