Sherri Lynn Carter, 57, of Brockton, Massachusetts, departed this life too soon on November 8, 2020, from complications from an extended illness, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Sherri was blessed with caring family by her side throughout her battle.
Sherri was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 12, 1963, to her parents, Charles Franklin Carter and JoAnn (Broadnex) Carter-Davis. Sherri's faith was strong. At an early age, she was baptized at Greater Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Sherri's early and secondary education began in Cleveland, Ohio. Later in life, she attended Bunker Hill Community College.
Sherri moved to Boston, in 1983. Over the years, Sherri worked as a Licensed Cosmetologist at Danny His-N-Hers, Hair 552, and David Michaels, in Cambridge. She worked at Amazon Fulfillment Center in Stoughton, before becoming ill.
Sherri was a friend to many, embracing life in all its splendor, unapologetically. Moreover, she committed to experiencing all of life's joys. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, laughing, and most importantly, spending time with friends and loved ones. Sherri had a great appreciation for music; Tupac Shakur was her absolute favorite. She was also an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. Sherri's pride and joy were her daughter, Bianca, and granddaughter, Aniyah, who would always say, "Come Grandma." Sherri's new grandson, Amari, motivated her to fight and keep her eyes open for his welcome into the world.
Sherri is predeceased by her sister, JoAnn Carter A.K.A "Baby Jo." She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter, Bianca Jones, of Brockton, Massachusetts; granddaughter, Aniyah Wilmot, of Brockton; grandson, Amari Tiah, of Brockton; mother, JoAnn Carter-Davis, of Bloomfield, Connecticut; father, Charles F.
