Obituary

Shory L. (Howell) Cummings, age 56, of Brockton, died January 17, 2014 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Shory was the wife of Otis W. Cummings. She was born and raised in Brockton, MA daughter of Dollie M. (Greene) Howell and the late Artis Howell. Shory had been employed by Chadwicks of Boston for many years and H&R Block. She was outgoing, funny, understanding and had a big heart for everyone. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and watching the Cooking channel.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons Steven Gerald, James Boddie and Damean Wells all of Brockton; three grandchildren Alexis and Corde’ Gerald and Amyra Boddie; three sisters Nicole Dawson and her husband Arthur Dawson, Sharon and Shannon Howell all of Brockton; three nieces Shaniese and Aleigha Howell, and Akena Cummings; a nephew Joquan Cummings and many in-laws and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant Street, Brockton, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2pm.
