Obituary

Silvio C. Maciel age 63 of Brockton died Sunday November 27, 2016 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Clarisse (Frayao) Maciel for 33 years.
Silvio was born June 11, 1953 and raised in Fafe, Portugal, a son of Lina (Carvalho) Maciel of Brockton and the late Antonio Maciel and had lived in Brockton since 1984. Previously Silvio lived in Portugal and Mozambique where he had served in the Portuguese armed services.
Silvio had worked for several local retail manufacturing companies including Venture Tape in Rockland. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching soccer games and supporting Boston sports teams. He also enjoyed working around his home making improvements. Silvio loved the holiday season and being with his family which also meant cooking Portuguese specialties for everyone.

Silvio was the father of Bruno Maciel and Shawn Maciel both of Brockton and the late Ricardo Maciel. He leaves two grandchildren Kaleigh and Ricardo Maciel and was the brother of Julio Maciel and his wife Marla of Wrentham. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Silvio was also godfather to Bianca DeSousa.
