Sonya Lorraine Teixeira was born on July 6th, 1967 went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 29th, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Lorraine (Almeida) Amado –Teixeira and stepdaughter of the late Raymond (Sonny) Amado and the father in love Joseph "Joey" Teixeira. She was born in Stoughton and raised in Brockton, attending Brockton High School. She worked as a teacher for many years at Brockton Day Nursery. Sonya enjoyed Foxwoods and playing Bingo and scratching lottery tickets and listening to her favorite music and taking trips to Florida. Sonya loved to spend time with her late cousin Marcia and husband Fran. Sonya loved her nieces and nephews, they were the light of her life. Sonya leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving cat Bunny Ann, her aunt Lydia (Almeida) Cross of Florida, her beloved Godmother Julie (Almeida) Peabody and Godfather George Andrade Sr. and uncle Carl (Big John) Santos Sr. She will also be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of many family and friends.
