Sophie (Allegro) Ferrara, wife of the late John B. Ferrara, died on November 4th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence at the age of 98 years.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Johnson) Crealese, she was predeceased by her brother Vincent Allegro. Sophie is survived by her daughter Valerie Szlatenyi, her grandchildren, Dena and her husband Ernesto, Christopher, two great grandchildren, Leticia and Frankie, one great-great grandson, Max, brothers John Crealese and his wife Pat, Charles (Chic) Crealese and his wife Mary Theresa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sophie was a graduate of Brockton High School. She enjoyed doing puzzles, listening to Swing Big Bands when younger, dancing, singing in choirs with her brother, and performing in roller skating shows.

A graveside service for Sophie will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery, 163 North Cary Street, Brockton, MA at 11 a.m.
