Stephen R. Ahlstedt, 68, of Middleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Lisa M. (Baumann) Ahlstedt.

Born in Weymouth on July 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert G. Ahlstedt and Jane A. (Hickey) Ahlstedt. After high school, Stephen joined the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War.

Stephen was a police officer for the Massachusetts State Police for 31 years.

He was a member of the Elks Club and the Mitchell Memorial Club.

He loved fishing, socializing, trucks and motorcycles. Most of all, Stephen loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Lisa, Stephen is survived by his daughter Katelyn Ahlstedt; his siblings Richard Ahlstedt (Catherine) of Hingham, Neal Ahlstedt (Beth) of Pembroke, Laurence Ahlstedt (Patricia) of Marshfield, Edwin Ahlstedt (Elizabeth "BJ"), Patricia Ahlstedt and partner Renee Emkay of Lunenburg, Marilyn Macrae (Ian) of Canton and Carol Guiducci (Joseph) of Walpole; his mother-in-law Brenda Baumann; brother and sisters in law Linda Lavigne, Michael Baumann and Jennifer Baumann. He is predeceased by his father-in-law George Comerford.

Funeral Services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Wednesday, November 30th at 11:30AM. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30PM. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
