We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Stephen William Gammons, 71, of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, who left us peacefully on October 1, 2025. Stephen was the son of the late Ernest and Shirley Gammons.

Born in Brockton, MA on November 19, 1953, Steve attended St. Patrick's School in Brockton through eighth grade before moving to Easton, where he graduated from South Easton Regional High School in 1972. After high school, he pursued his passion for baseball in Arkansas, playing in the minor leagues for several years.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Steve was a devoted fan of all New England teams, especially the Boston Red Sox—he never missed a game. His love for sports was matched by his dedication to his career; he worked at F.W. Webb for over 20 years where he loved what he did and the people he worked with.

Steve had a great love for music, particularly The Beatles, and spent many mornings watching old music videos pulled up on YouTube. He cherished time with family and friends, especially during his summer cookouts, where he manned the grill and set up the volleyball net for all to enjoy.

Above all, Steve was an extraordinary husband, father, uncle, and great-uncle. Steve is survived by his wife Maryrose Gammons, his daughter Nell Gammons and her boyfriend Jamie Fisher, his sister-in-law Jane Kaminski of Leland, NC, his brother-in-law Robert O'Brien and his wife Velma Lee of Potomac, MD, nieces and nephews Dennis Kaminski and Kelly Fordham of Plaistow, NH, Michael Kaminski of Claremont, NH, Theresa and James Migliaccio of Wilmington, NC, Emily and Justin Poliachik of Wilmington, NC, Sammi and Matthew Howard of NYC, Dr. Sydney Liang and Dr. Andres Arredondo of NYC, Spencer Liang of Washington, DC, his grandnieces and grandnephews Riley Kaminski, Dylan Kaminski, Wes Poliachik, and Vanessa Migliaccio.

Steve is survived by his daughter Jessica Gammons and her fiancé Shawn MacDonald of East Bridgewater, his brother Michael Gammons and his wife Nancy of North Easton, his sister Susan Gammons and Roger Bogosh of Attleboro, Lynda and Jeffrey Bukunt of North Easton, nieces and nephews Timothy Dube and his wife Alison, Kathryn Gammons and her husband Mark Sherman, Lindsay Duphiney and her husband Nathan, Christoper Gammons, Jeffrey Bukunt, Kristen Bukunt, grandchildren Henry Colby, Grace MacDonald, Abby MacDonal, and his grandniece and grandnephew Scarlett and Nathan Duphiney.

Steve's warmth, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though gone, he will always be held close in the hearts of his family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from 4–8 PM at Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton, MA.
