He is survived by his mother, Maria Fernandes Gibau; his son Avian Vincent Deane; hissiblings, John Gibau, Raymond Gibau, Maria Fortes, Ilda Andrade, and Maria Semedo; his aunts and uncles, Gaudencio Gibau, Joaquim Fontes, Mariana Vieira, Biaca Camilo, Florinda Rodrigues and Eugenia Andrade; his girlfriend, Salua Abreu. He was the nephew of the late Jaquima Camilo, Alcinda Pinansky and Jose Silva.
