IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen R.
"Rabbit" Koutroubas
January 16, 2008
Koutroubas, of Brockton, January 16, 2008, Stephen R. “Rabbit” Koutroubas, 57 years. Son of Margaretta (Arven) Koutroubas of Attleboro and the late Evan P. Koutroubas; father of Kerry Ann Callahan of Canton, Katrina M. Perdona and her husband Ulisy and Marcus A. Koutroubas all of Attleboro; brother of Michael of Weymouth, William of WA, Paul of CA, David of FL, Peter of Pepperell, James of NY, Carolyn Hughes of Attleboro and Teresia Pablo of FL; grandfather of Kelly Ann Kircher, Kelsey Callahan, Isabel and Ulisy Perdona. He also leaves his faithful dog Harley.
Stephen will be remembered for his kind heart; a man who always looked out for those less fortunate especially the homeless, he volunteered at local shelters, soup kitchens, and Catholic Charities.
He once told a server at Mom’s Café on Main St. Brockton that if he ever hit the lottery or came into money he would come back and buy a meal for all the homeless people he could. And about 5 years ago he did just that and treated 50 people to that meal. He liked helping people and could be found quietly assisting them any way and then move on; looking for nothing in return. He enjoyed cooking and is known for great chili and spaghetti sauce. Stephen was a Master Finish Carpenter responsible for many well built structures both large and small; he was a member of the Local 33 Carpenters Union Boston. He served in the US Army. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10:30 AM; Cremation will follow. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 PM.
