Steven Almodóvar Steven Almodvar, 56, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born February 12, 1954 in New York, New York he was the son of the late Armando Almodvar and Helen (Hoynacky) Almodvar. Steven was proud to serve in the United States Navy on the USS MACDONOUGH. Steven has lived in Brockton for the last 13 years and was a resident of the Emmanuel House. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria L. Joyce and her husband Joseph of New York; his grandson, William J. May; his sister, Connie Macdonald and her husband Ralph of Brockton; his brothers, Stanley Almodvar and his wife Grizel and Anthony Almodvar all of New York; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was the father of the late Shannon Almodvar and brother of the late Louise (Almodvar) Estrada and Paul Almodvar. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Wednesday, July 7th from 8:00AM to 9:30AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
