Online Obituaries Steven F. Hill, Jr., 23, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born September 26, 1990 in Brockton, he was the beloved son of Steven F. Hill of Lynnfield and Kathleen (Hallisey) Petti and her husband Todd of Brockton. Raised in Brockton, he attended Brockton Public Schools. He graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 2009 where he was active on the Football, Baseball, Golf Team and Ski Club. He was a member of the National Honor Society. He continued his education and graduated from Syracuse University, Class of 2013. While in college, Steve earned his Pharmacy Technician Certificate and worked for Rite Aid Pharmacys in Brockton and in Syracuse, NY. He played for Our Lady of Lourdes CYO basketball and bowled in youth leagues at Westgate Lanes in Brockton. Steve was employed as a project specialist by GrayBar Electric Company of Westwood. Steve was a volunteer for My Brothers Keeper, where he worked with others preparing and delivering items to those in need. Steve enjoyed golf and traveling. He had many friends and will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving parents, Steven F. Hill of Lynnfield and Kathleen (Hallisey) Petti and her husband Todd of Brockton; his loving grandmother, Lorraine (Kamel) Hill of Bridgewater; his beloved Godmother and Aunt, Louann DiMillio and her husband Richard of Brockton; his beloved Godfather and Uncle, David Hill and his wife Susan of Bridgewater; he is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. He was the grandson of the late Howard Buddy Hill, Harold Hallisey and Marianne (Lehane) Hallisey. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, July 3rd at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
