Steven J. Risk, 66, of Middleboro, MA passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Melodie (Bolton) Risk.
Born November 19, 1958 in Providence, RI. He was the son of Shirley (Stansfield) Risk and the late James T. Risk.
Steven grew up in Lincoln, RI and graduated from URI.
Steven retired with 40+ years in the Commercial Lines Insurance business.
He enjoyed venturing out on his Indian Motorcycle, skiing, camping, taking vacations to Myrtle Beach, SC, coaching his sons basketball and soccer teams and spending weekends watching their baseball games. He volunteered his Friday nights cooking at the Elks. Steven loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Melodie (Bolton) Risk; his sons, Matthew Rhines and his wife Monica, Justin Risk and his partner Meghan and Drew Risk; he was Papa to Liko Rhines, Phoenix Rhines and Leyton Risk; his siblings, Sharon Schueneman, Susan Risk and her partner Steve, Michael Risk and his wife Betsy, Diane "Luis" Bridges and her husband Russell, Kathleen Aker and Christine Butler. Steven was also the brother-in-law to Marilyn and Vernon Weber and Michael and Cindy Bolton. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends.
Steven will always be remembered for his smile and kind words. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St,(Rt105) Lakeville MA on Saturday, April 5th from 11:00AM-2:30PM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 2:30PM.
Celebration of Life will be held at Middleboro Elks, 24 High St, Middleboro, MA from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
