Obituary

Suiko “Sue”(Sakurada) Lepley 76 years old, of Brockton died Saturday evening May 15, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife for 37 years of Richard H. “Sarge” Lepley. Sue was born in Utsunomiya-shi Japan a daughter of the late Kesakichi and Aki (Mikami) Sakurada and came to the United States in 1973. She had been a resident of Brockton since 1986.
Sue had worked part time at Emmy’s Deli in Abington. She enjoyed any type of dancing, trips to the dog track, playing the lottery and flower gardening. She also enjoyed Boston sports especially the Celtics. Sue will be remembered by family and friends as a kind and gentle woman.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her step children William and his wife Marie of Lincoln, California; Richard of Dallas, Texas; John and his wife Wendy of Olympia, Washington and Jane Emery of Brewster. She was the grandmother of Shonna, Steven, Triston, Maren and Liam. Sue also leaves many nieces and nephews including Jennifer of Rockland, Jeanne of Holbrook, Danielle, Joan and Lisa all of Quincy, Debbie of New Hampshire and Habu-Chan of Japan. She leaves a brother Mikomi Tetsuo of Japan.
Funeral Services have been omitted. Sue’s ashes will be buried at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery with her husband Richard upon his death.
