Sultane Garcon, 92, of Deschapelles of Artibonite Haiti, passed away on the 25th of April 2023. Brockton, Massachusetts at the Good Samaritan hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Sultane was born in Delogné commune de la petite rivière de l' Artibonite, on October 22nd 1930 to cacos revolutionary and farmer Exantus, Theodule and homemaker Louine, Celestine. She came of age during the 50s and married her lifelong partner farmer and artisan Garconnet Garcon at the age of 26. They proceeded to have nine children the second one dying in infancy. Throughout the instability due to political uncertainty even brutal dictatorships in Haiti's bloody four decades 50s to the 80s Sultane endured and flourish. She oversaw all of her children graduations from school and there success in the workplace. She also provided sustenance and a home for many less fortunate children, One of which became her surrogate son name Anba. Sultane was the milk of human kindness, her love was boundless and immeasurable, especially to the less fortunate.

Her final days above ground will not be a lament but a celebration of the life a wonderful woman Who overcame many adversity and a bad hand. She succeeded in life and should be an exemplar of what living should be about.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 9:00 AM in the Brockton Church of God, 80 Pleasant Street, Brockton. Visitation will be prior to the service in the CHURCH from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
