Susan Byrne, 72, of Middleboro, died suddenly on Friday, February 9, 2024.

Born in Wareham on October 15, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William Byrne and Jean M. (LeBaron) Byrne. Susan graduated from Middleborough Memorial High School in the class of 1969, and attended Bryant and Stratton College, earning a Bachelor's degree.

Susan was a co-owner of Byrne Sand & Gravel in Middleboro.

She had two horses, Rocky and Giselle, and enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, skiing, boating, reading, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and close friends.

Susan is survived by her sisters Kathleen Pratt and her husband John and Bonnie Gallant and her husband Donald; her nephews Derek Ducasse and DJ Gallant and his wife Joy; her nieces Allison Redlon and her fiancé Ben, Kristin Gallant and Lindsay Calis and her husband Danny; her stepchildren Matthew Moxley, Kelly Moxley St. Cyr and her husband Matt and Laura Moxley and her husband Craig; her companion Jim Costa; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Susan was predeceased by her son Billy Byrne.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., Lakeville. A celebration of Susan's life will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's Memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
