Obituary

Susan M. (Spaulding) Sweeney, age 68, of Brockton, died November 28, 2020 at Brockton Hospital. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Barbara (Bodwell) Spaulding. Susan was raised in Avon and was a graduate of Avon High School and Suffolk University. In 1971, she enlisted in the Air Force.

For over 15 years, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Commercial Union Life Insurance Company in Boston. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, and enjoyed reading and sewing.

Susan was the mother of Monica Pickett of Braintree and the late Steven Langley; grandmother of Zahkya, Jaidyn and Torren Campbell and Christopher, Corey and Cameron Langley; sister of Janet Spaulding of Florida and the late Patricia Lynch and John Spaulding. She is also survived by five nephews Mike and Eric Mason, Thomas Kelley, David and Sean Lynch and the late Charlie Kelley. She was the former wife of the late Joseph Sweeney, Jr.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. In following COVID guideline, masks must be worn and social distancing observed.
