Gutting of Brockton November 19, 2004 Sylvia J. (Tammi) Guttting 63years. Mother of Erika Oelmann of Long Beach, CA, Barry of Stoughton, and Lt. Arthur Gutting USN of Texas. Sister of Shirley Waters of Hingham, June Tammi of Hanover, Carl Tammi of Sandwich, Louise Hamilton of Hanover and Victor Tammi of Boston. Life long companion of Arthur J. Rowell.

There will be a Memorial Gathering in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday from 1-3PM. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to the Charity to One’s Choice .




Ms. Gutting died Friday at her home after a period of failing health. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Hazel (Anderson) Tammi. She was born in Cambridge and raised and educated in Dorchester, Graduating from Dorchester HS. As a child growing up she and her family would spend summers at the family farm in Hubbardston. Ms. Gutting spent many years as a volunteer Teacher/ Tutor for the Literacy for Leaps reading program in Brockton. She moved to Brockton since 1977.
