Sylvia M. (Ciavarra) Perito
, 103, of Franklin and formerly of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at her home in Franklin under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of the late Anthony "Tony" Perito.
Born December 20, 1906 in New York, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Ciavarra and Maria (Licorsi) Ciavarra. Mrs. Perito lived most of her life in Brockton and she attended Brockton Schools.
Mrs. Perito was employed for many years at Picento's Sportswear store in Brockton. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Brockton. She enjoyed watching TV and especially liked the food channel as she was a good cook.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara A. Perito of Franklin and the late Lucille M. (Perito) Roscoe; her loving son-in-law, Richard F. Roscoe of Franklin; her grandchildren, Richard F. Roscoe, Jr. and his wife Paula of Marlboro, Jeffrey A. Roscoe of Franklin and Steven M. Roscoe of Norfolk; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa M. Roscoe and Michael Roscoe both of Marlboro; her brother Frank Ciavarra of Halifax; her nephews, Richard, Donald, William and George Ciavarra. She was the sister of the late James Ciavarra.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, September 18th at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 4:00-7:00PM.
