Sunrise March 7th, 1993 - Sunset June 13th, 2025

Tanashia Lobo was born on March 7th, 1993 in Boston, MA to Maria Lobo and Carlos Araujo.

The first grandchild born into her family, she was affectionately given the name "Vanessa" from

her grandfather. Throughout her teenage years, she grew up on the south side of Brockton

where she was well known amongst the Cape Verdean community. Vanessa was given the

nickname "Hazel" by her friends, which fittingly describes her captivating hazel eyes. Her vibrant

personality was reflected in her unique sense of style that she expressed through fashion, her

ever-changing hairstyles and hair color. She was inspirational to those around her in the way

that she lived her life to the fullest. Vanessa was more than just a beautiful face, she had a

radiant and loving spirit that was felt by anyone blessed to know and love her. She passed down

her striking features and strong personality traits to her beloved son, RJ who is a spitting image

and true reflection of her in many ways. As a loving and devoted mother to RJ, she was

committed to giving him everything he wanted. Vanessa poured her heart into creating

cherished memories with the family she created alongside her partner, Marcel. They were

always out on adventures, exploring the outdoors for bugs, taking family trips to the farm and

zoo. The bond between Vanessa, RJ and Marcel is unbreakable and the extraordinary love they

shared with her will eternally be in their hearts. Vanessa will be deeply missed by RJ, her family

and all of those who truly loved her. She may be out of our sight but she will forever be present

in our hearts.

Vanessa is survived by her beloved son Rickey Jr; loving mother Maria Lobo & father Carlos

Araujo; Grandparents Jose and Maria Lobo, Eduardo Araujo; sisters Tanice, Talicia, Tamea ,

Carlita and many other siblings. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Welcoming her into eternal

rest by her beloved grandparents who preceded her in death; Maria "Sao" Lopes and Maria R.

Lobo.
