Teresa (Celeste) Cerci Teresa (Celeste) Cerci , 97, of Bridgewater and formerly of Brockton, passed away Sunday, August 01, 2010 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph Cerci. Born January 10, 1913 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Celeste and Louise (Alfieri) Celeste. Mrs. Cerci was a salesclerk for Superior Bakery of Brockton and then became the City of Brockton's first Teacher's Aid, where she worked in the Brockton School system for over 20 years. Teresa loved to cook and feed her family. She always encouraged her family in the importance of education. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Stratoti and her husband Vincent of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Vincent Stratoti, Robert Sergio, Keith Cerci, Christopher Cerci, Laurie Sweeney, Lorraine Johnson, Tresa Papadopoulos and Lee Denmark; she is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph P. Cerci and Frances M. Jordan and she was the sister of the late Patrick and Aida Celeste. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, August 4th at 12:00PM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 5:00-8:00PM.
