Online Obituaries Thalia N. (Nicholas) Petros, 86, of Brockton and Brewster, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of George Petros, DMD. Born January 3, 1927 in Molivos, Greece, she was a daughter of the late John Nicholas and Andrea (Karabiberis) Nicholas. Thalia attended Boston Schools and was a graduate of Framingham Teachers College. She enjoyed tennis, skiing and spending time in Brewster. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Brockton. Most of all, Thalia enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joan Petros, DMD of Quincy and James Petros, MD and his wife Sue of Wellesley; her siblings, Victoria Koines of Arizona, Bessie Zisi of Needham, Mary Tawa of Maryland, Helen Nicholas of California and Demetra Mainou of Boston; her sister-in-laws, Jenny Elias and Nikki Liamos as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Wednesday, June 19th from 9:00AM-10:00AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM. Interment will be private in Brewster Memorial Cemetery.
