Theresa M. (Meagher) Duquette, 79, of Brockton, passed away at her home on Monday, December 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after a period of failing health. She was the loving wife of Jerry W. Duquette for 60 years.
Theresa was born on November 22, 1939 in Brockton, MA. She was a daughter of the late Frederick J. Meagher and Edna A. (Benoit) Meagher. Theresa was a life long Brockton resident who attended Brockton public Schools.
At a young age she worked as a factory worker around the city. For most of her life she worked as a waitress and bartender. She enjoyed gambling and dancing. Theresa and Jerry would take trips to Foxwoods Casino where she enjoyed playing the slot machines. She also liked playing bingo and card games, especially 45.
Theresa loved time with her family, especially time with her 3 grandchildren. The family events with the Duquette side of the family were always a good time to her.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Duquette; her children, Michael S. Duquette, Erik D. Duquette and his wife Stacey; her grandchildren, Zackary, Camden and Lucas Duquette; her siblings, Barbara Tamulevich and her husband Frank, Edna Walsh, Wilfred Meagher, Robert Meagher, Dorothy Burgess and her husband Vern and Walter Meagher. She is also survived by her several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jimmy Meagher, Mary Kespert, Frederick J. Meagher, Jr. and Helen Anderson and her husband David.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, December 21st from 4:00PM-7:00PM followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00PM.
