Obituary

Theresa F. (Barravecchio) Hannan, age 84, of Bridgewater, died peacefully at her home, April 23, 2015. She was the wife for 51 years of the late James J. Hannan. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Catherine (Mancuso) Barravecchio, and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1948. She had been employed by General Motors as a stenographer for 25 years. Theresa previously lived in Brockton for 25 years and Taunton. She was an avid reader and enjoyed time with her family and dancing.
She is survived by her sister in law Lillian Newell, many nieces and nephews, and her cat Elsie Marie. She was the sister of the late Jennie Backlund.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
