Obituary

Theresa F. Pitaro 99 years old, died Easter Sunday at West Acres Nursing after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in Brockton the last surviving child of the late Nicola and Maria (Fera) Pitaro and remained a lifelong resident of the city. For many years Miss Pitaro had worked at Luco Leather Company in Brockton.
Theresa was a devout Catholic who, when could no longer attend Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church followed the Mass daily on Boston Catholic Television. She will be remembered for her quick wit, dry sense of humor and generous nature. Although she never had children of her own, Theresa was a devoted aunt to many generations of nieces and nephews.
She was the dear cousin of Carl Pitaro and the late Concetta Pitaro. She was the sister of the late Carrie Sebelia, Joseph Pitaro, Elizabeth Froio, Lunda Pitaro, Mario Pitaro, Monsignor Mimie B. Pitaro and Mary Pizzorno.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 pm.
