Obituary

Thomas J. “TJ” Sands age 55 of Brockton, died unexpectedly at his home on May 5, 2023. TJ was born in Brockton a son of the Eunice (Cady)(Sands) McSweeney of Whitman and the late Russell N. Sands.

TJ was born, raised and educated in Brockton and remained a lifelong resident of the city. He was a jack of all trades and worked in the siding and roofing industry. A member of Teamsters Union Local 25, most recently TJ was working for Boston Show Services.

TJ enjoyed fishing, clamming and socializing, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
TJ was the son of Eunice McSweeney and her husband Edward of Whitman and brother of Kenneth Sands of N. Attleboro, Raymond Sands and his wife Melodie of Brockton, Louise Grippen and her husband Robert of Brockton, Jack Sands of Brockton and James Sands of Brockton. He also leaves 2 nieces and a nephew and his lifelong friend Scott Mello.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton on Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 4-6:30 pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm.
