Trancella Marshall, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2025.
She was born in Meridian, Mississippi on April 4, 1942 to Irene Hopkins Marshall and Johnny Lee Marshall. Trancella graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School, and continued her education at Business School after graduation.
She began her career in Accounts Payable with Hue Construction Company, where her dedication and work ethic quickly became evident. She later advanced to a role in Accounts Payable at Howard Johnson, where she remained until her retirement.
After retiring, Trancella devoted her time and heart to helping others. She took great pride in working with at-risk youth as a Counselor at the founding Boys & Girls Club of Metro South. Her compassion, patience, and commitment touched countless young lives. She loved Community Service and was an active member in the Community, where she received many awards. In her spare time, Trancella was an avid crafter and loved expressing her creativity.
Trancella is predeceased by her parents, Johnny Lee and Irene Hopkins Marshall, and her daughter, Lisa N. Marshall. She is survived by her loving sister Betty Marshall, daughter Nina Marshall, grandson Kevin Joshua Adesanya, and granddaughter Armin Forde. She is also survived by her godchildren Joyce Watson, Tatiana Mendes, Danielle Carthy, and Dana Carthy. Loved her cousin-brother Glen Dace and his wife, Caroline from Jackson, Mississippi. She leaves behind a host of Family and Friends.
Nina would like to thank her mother's closest friends, Pat Holland, Betty Lou Pina and Mina Pina for their love and support. Also, Jenny Brooks and Barbara Williams for the endless communication. Special thanks to Aunty Barbara Rouse and Aunty Sandra Silvia.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, November 20th from 1:00PM-3:00PM.
