Online Obituaries Ulysses Slim Trammell, Jr., 75, of Brockton, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born November 18, 1940 in LaFayette, AL he was a son of Mattie L. (Bailey) Trammell and the late Ulysses Trammell, Sr. His marriage to Margaret Hughley ended in divorce. Slim moved to Boston in 1966. He worked for Bradlees Stores until they closed. He then began to work in the home building and renovations field doing sheetrock work. Ulysses leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mattie L. (Bailey) Trammell of LaFayette, AL; his granddaughter, Desirae Trammell; his aunt, Lillian Floyd of Baltimore, MD; his brothers, Bobby of Boston, MA, Walter of LaFayette, AL, Larry of Brockton, MA, and Napoleon of Anniston, AL.; his sisters, Betty Trammell of Norwood, MA, Pennye Trammell of Somerville, MA, Nell Bailey of Alexandria, VA, Floretta (Sydney) Williams of Grand Cayman Islands, and Gloria Jean Trammell of Washington, DC; his long-time friend, Betsy Price of Brockton, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Ulysses Trammell, III and brother of the late Alfreda Trammell. Funeral Information Funeral service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) BROCKTON on Friday, July 22nd at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 9:00AM - 11:00AM.
