Online Obituaries Valerie J. Paul, 63, of Branford, CT passed away unexpectedly July 27, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after being stricken at home. Born February 13, 1954 in Brockton, MA she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Durso) Paul. Val was educated in Brockton and graduated proudly from Mater Dei Academy in 1971. Following graduation she pursued a career in nursing at Massasoit Community College where she obtained her degree and became a registered nurse. Val worked for several years at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester before moving to Connecticut and continuing her nursing career in various capacities. Valerie is survived by her son, John Michael McKittrick, his wife Tori; grandchildren, Alyssa, Christopher and Cassie. Also the sister of Gregory Paul and his wife Arlene, Teri Anne Elliott and was fondly known as AV by her nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Calvary Cemetery, North Cary St., Brockton.
