Van O. Bates 46 of Santee California passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2021. Born on February 6, 1975 to the late Donna Bates & the late Van O. Royster. He was raised in Brockton Massachusetts and attended Brockton public schools. He received an associate's degree from Massasoit Community College in music and tv video production. He was the founder and owner of Cult Muzic Media . He was a talented musician and songwriter an overall all-around music man. He was also known in the music world as Black Hesher. He also was an avid sports fan and played football in high school. Van leaves to cherish his memories his companion Shannon Rosco, his sister Hassie Royster and his two brothers Patrick Royster and Aaron Bates, stepmother Katherine Burnes, 2 nieces, 6 nephews and 1 great-nephew, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family, friends and fans. Sleep on big brother and get your rest for we all loved you dearly but god loves you best A memorial will be held on Friday, June 11th from 7:00 PM-12:30 AM at The Perfect Place, 2039 Main St., Brockton. There will be live music after the memorial service.
