Van Otis ROYSTER passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday April 9, 2018. Born on December 12, 1954 to the late Early A and Amie V ( Bradshaw ) ROYSTER In Brockton. Van attended Brockton Public Schools and graduated from Brockton High School. He truly enjoyed being with his large family and friends and was always present at family events. He also enjoyed sports, music and bingo. He was a volunteer at his church and was always willing to help others. Van served in the US NAVY. He was retired from the Brockton VA Hospital after many years of service. Known as TRUCK, BIG VAN and PAPA to his nine Grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Van Bates, Hassie Royster, and Patrick Royster and nine grandchildren. His siblings Stella Brockington, husband Leland Brockington, Callie Royster, wife Gracious, Ira Royster, wife Corine (Carol), Emmet Royster and Sean Royster and one Uncle, Patrick Royster, The late brother Patrick Royster, late sister Valarie Royster and late brother Early Royster and a host of other family and friends.
