Veneranda "Verna" Mariani, 71, of Brockton, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. Born November 14, 1947 in Alanno, Pescara, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Aurelio Mariani and Anna (Carusi) Mariani. She came to America in April of 1963 and became an American Citizen in 1973. She graduated from Canton High School in 1968. Verna was a longtime employee of G.E. Electric where she retired from. She also worked for Hewlett Packard. She loved to travel, photography and cooking. She is survived by her brother Luigi Mariani and his wife Sandra; her adored nieces and nephews, Jason Mariani, Tanya (Mariani) Lincoln and her husband Alfred, Elizabeth Lincoln, Nicole Lincoln, Tara (Mariani) D'Arpino and her husband Stephen, Isabella D'Arpino and Johnny D'Arpino. Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, June 3rd from 3:00PM-5:00PM followed by a prayer service at 5:00PM.
