, 93, of Brockton, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Niki (Maris) Fields.
Born August 25, 1916 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Charles G. Fields and Kaliope (Hatzigeorgiou) Fields. Raised in Brockton he attended Brockton Schools and graduated from Brockton High School. He then graduated from Providence College and Suffolk University Law School.
Mr. Fields served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Fields was a practicing Attorney in Brockton for over 50 years. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. He was a member of the Brockton YMCA and was an avid bowler. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Michael G. Fields and his wife Rose of North Easton; his grandchildren, Victoria Fields and Nicholas Fields; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Charlene Fields and brother of the late Napoleon Fields and Ethel Fields.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt 123) Brockton on Friday, November 13th at 11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 12:00PM. The Rev. Anthony Evangelatos will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday 4:00-8:00PM.
