Obituary

Vidas J. Venckauskas, age 69 of Abington formerly of Brockton, died January 18, 2011. He was born in Lithuania to Jonas and Ona (Barulis) Venckauskas. The family immigrated to the United States in 1949 settling in Brockton. Vid was a 1960 graduate of Brockton High School and a 1963 graduate of Burdette College. He worked as a salesman for many years for the Simeone Corporation of Stoughton and TL Edwards of Avon. Vid enjoyed hunting and fishing; as well as cooking and was a member of the Old Colony Sportsmen’s Club in Pembroke.
He is survived by his wife Jane M (Sheehan) Venckauskas of Abington; his children Edward and his wife Jill of Middleboro, Kristina Day and her husband Michael of Belmont and Stephanie Millett and her husband George of E. Bridgewater; his sister Jaruna Banaitis of Canton; and his grandchildren Kayla, Kevin, Matthew, Lauren, Allison, Briana, Brittany and Kiley.
Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 2-6pm. Funeral Home Ceremony Monday at 12:30pm. Cremation will follow.
