Online Obituaries Vincent Vinny Thomas Riccardi, of Brockton, died suddenly at the age of 77.8 on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Antonio and A. Carmella Riccardi. Vinny was a devoted and loving father to Anthony, deceased, David and Mark Riccardi. He was an exceptional grandfather to Chelsey, Nicholas, Lexi, Andrew, Ian and Jack Riccardi, spending many hours on the sidelines of his grandchildrens sporting activities, always cheering them on. He was the best Papa a grandchild could ask for. He is also survived by his partner, Grace Brennan and his ex-wife, Ann Riccardi. He was a teacher and coordinator of the Brockton Public School Health Education and Health Services Department before retiring in 1999. Vinny was an avid golfer and bridge player who truly enjoyed the company of his many friends. His zest for life, loyalty to others, and positive outlook was always abundant. He enjoyed all Boston Sports but truly loved his Patriots. Funeral Information Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3rd from 3:00-7:00PM. A celebratory luncheon of his life will be held on Thursday December 4th at noon.
